Budapest has once again shown its strength as a destination for major international events. The Hungarian capital hosted the first-ever World Athletics Final, welcoming top athletes and fans from around the world.

The three-day event at the Gyula Zsivoczky National Athletics Stadium was sold out, with more than 60,000 tickets sold. Fans arrived from 93 countries, with 40% of spectators coming from abroad.
The event also attracted international media from countries including the USA, China, Kenya and Jamaica. Across three days, spectators enjoyed 28 exciting finals and an unforgettable atmosphere.
The success of the event once again highlighted Budapest as a fantastic destination for international sports events. Usain Bolt, the event’s official ambassador, also praised Budapest and its role as the host city.
