This Month Sleepover: Max Brown in 7th District

The 7th district of Vienna is considered to be particularly versatile and vibrating, a pure Heaven for the creative scene.

That is why Max Brown opened its first hotel in Austria in May 2019 at Schottenfeldgasse 74: a modern, casual hotel with over 140 rooms, an outdoor terrace and a hotel-owned shop with a focus on local brands in line with Max Brown’s claims.

The three cornerstones of the Max Brown philosophy are simple yet effective: cozy beds, fresh coffee and service under the motto “Basic at its best” are top priorities.

BLAGUSS DMC TIP:
Pay a visit to the restaurant at the hotel’s ground floor and find yourself in the streets of Tel Aviv- at Seven North: The Israeli top chef Eyal Shani – well known as the King of Cauliflower – opened his new restaurant with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine and dishes prepared in a spectacular open kitchen.

Vienna Celebrates Beethoven 250th Birthday

Vienna and Ludwig van Beethoven – a Musical city meets musical genius.

The revolutionary composer spent 35 years in Vienna and left behind many traces: a large Beethoven Museum, preserved apartments and places of his triumphs and despair, memorials and Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze – through to the Beethoven Heuriger.

As a pupil of Joseph Haydn, he created sounds that still inspire the world of music today.

A series of concerts, opera performances and exhibitions: in Beethoven Year 2020, music lovers can get very close to the composer in Vienna.

Vienna Wine Hiking Day

The “Wiener Weinwandertag” (Vienna Wine Hiking Day) is held every year on the last weekend of September.
One of the unique things about Vienna is that it’s the only capital city in the world with more than 700 hectares of vineyards within the city limits. During the Wiener Weinwandertag one can hike on the trails that lead through private vineyards that are normally inaccessible during the rest of the year.

The wine landscape can be hiked through on three routes with a total length of 25 kilometers. At many points along the way, Viennese vintners offer tastings from cellar and kitchen.
From every single of those Viennese house mountains you can enjoy a great view over the city whilst drinking a glass of wine. Especially during Autumn, the trees of Vienna Woods are changing its colours and are definitely worth a visit.

You just need to bring your own cup… 😉

BLAGUSS DMC TIP:
And to everyone who likes to choose the more comfortable way, we recommend „Heurigen Express“. It is a tiny train on wheels that takes passengers through picturesque wine towns, past wonderful vineyards and old vintners’ houses. Round off the journey by experiencing a real Viennese ‘heuriger’, or wine tavern.
